A Futuristic Past

BURHAN YILMAZ was born in 1981, in Silifke (Turkey). In 2005, he graduated from Mustafa Kemal University, Faculty of Education, Department of Art Education. 2009, Courses in fine arts at Ecole Regionale Superiore d’Expression de Plastique, in Tourcoing, Lille- France. In 2010, Yilmaz graduated from Master Program of Painting Division in Institute of Fine Arts of Mersin University. 2014, Graduated from PhD. Program of Painting Division in Institute of Fine Arts of Gazi University. He is working as faculty member in Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, Duzce University. He has honor award of (2014) 8. Biennial of Miniature Art. So far, he has had two solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions, festivals and symposiums since 2014.

The work of art is the manifestation of the secret knowledge that exists within man. The wings in this study are like the proof of the classification of confidential information. This installation of knives reveals the classification difference between metal and feather.
This study has taken place in a number of large exhibitions including the Cerveira Art Biennale, and has created an environment for various discussions.
