Listing for June 2021: Literary Events Online

Welcome to June! Here in the UK, we’re making good progress with the roll-out of vaccines and the nation now awaits announcements on 21st June, to find out which restrictions will be lifted next. COVID-19 is still with us, but life might soon be another step closer to resembling normality. Organisers are juggling various challenges to ensure art events can happen safely, and while restrictions on indoors gatherings of people remain, many in-person events are postponed or staying virtual for a bit longer. Plenty of people are still being cautious about venturing out, especially those who’ve not yet been vaccinated – we’ve not yet reached a stage where everyone can participate in their usual cultural activities.

So, if you’re feeling a bit isolated, here is the good news: loads of creative communities across the UK, and all around the globe, CONTINUE to plug the void in our lives with some amazing virtual events!

The HCE magazine team have created another list of literary open mics, events and workshops (listed in separate categories below), to help you plan for the weeks ahead. You can stay virus-free AND enjoy your favourite gigs. Why not take the opportunity to “travel” far and wide to attend events overseas while they’re still easily accessible?
